An ora sponsorship is a personal commitment

ora sponsored children are always happy to receive mail. In quite a few huts and houses letters or pictures of the respective sponsoring parents hang on the wall. The contact to the supporters means a lot to the children.

Write to your sponsored child with pleasure! You will bring him or her a special joy and make your relationship personal.

You can write your letters in German or English and send them to us by mail or e-mail. If necessary, we will translate the letters. You can also enclose photos, stickers or other small greetings. During our visits we will take the things to your sponsored child. Otherwise, we will send your greetings by e-mail to our project partners and they will hand over everything to your sponsored child.

For data protection reasons, we do not pass on the addresses of the sponsored children. We also do not pass on your address or data to the project partners, the children, or their parents. Please understand that all communication must go through us at ora Kinderhilfe.

You will also receive mail from your ora sponsored child. Twice a year we try to send mail to all sponsoring parents. Either a photo or a letter from your ora sponsored child usually finds its way to you via us.

Should this not be possible despite our efforts, we ask for your understanding. The living conditions in the countries where we work are very difficult. Thus, time delays, lack of electricity or a greeting that's missing once cannot always be avoided. But you can be sure that we will do our best to send you mail. You are more likely to receive delayed greetings than none at all.

A visit is something special for both sides. If you would like to visit your sponsored child, we will gladly support you. Please contact us if you have such plans.

We will accompany you in your travel preparations and inform you about the necessary preparations, background information about the country and our project location as well as about cultural conditions. We also organize the visit to your ora sponsored child for you.

If you do not want to travel alone to your sponsored child, make use of our group sponsor trips. From time to time we organize sponsor trips for up to 12 people to the project countries. You will get to know the respective country, our project partners as well as your sponsored child and gain a comprehensive insight into the country and its people as well as our work on site.
